Q: What is the average car insurance price for a new driver?
I have my driver licence almost eight months ago in NH. Now I moved to Mas and I pay about $ 210 per month for car insurance. I want to know if I can find cheaper or this not too bad for a new driver. I own a 2000 ford Taurus since two months. What do you think guys?
A: the cheapest insurance i could find when i first started driving was nationwide but it was still just over 200$/month. So it looks like your right in the ball park of it all for full coverage.
Q: Which company has the cheapest car insurance for teens in north New Jersey?
My dad will only get me a car if I can find really cheap car insurance. I'm 17, male, and live in northern New Jersey, kind of near Short Hills. Which company would have the cheapest insurance if I were to buy a used car?
A: then you want this

Q: Do you purchase the new car or car insurance first?
I want to buy myself a new car. I have never done this before. My parents have always taken care of things and now I want to do this on my own. I want to put down a $15,000 down payment/cash and I have no credit. Will this be possible?
Do I look for insurance first? Or do I buy the car first?
A: Do you have insurance already? If so your current insurance is good for 14 to 30 days depending on the company by this I mean your coverage will cover you on your new vehicle without notifying the insurance company but you should notify them as soon as possible if you do not have any insurance it is likely the car dealership will sell you the car anyway but if you get into a accident your 15000 you put down just went to waste so make sure you have some coverage. hope this helps and dint wait until the last day of your grace period where your insurance after the fourth day will go down.
Q: What is the proper way to repaint a brand new car? Insurance question...?
I recently had my car damaged in one of our Texas storms. It caused about $4000 in damage to the entire left side, hood, and both bumpers, and knocked out two windows. I just got my car back from the "insurance suggested" body shop and I can still see where many of the rock marks were painted over. There are divets in the paint in a lot of spots, which is better than the metal that was showing before, but not how I want it. My question is, shouldn't they have completely sanded down the areas of the car that needed to be repainted instead of just painting over the paint nicks? The car is a 2006 Mustang that is practically brand new. Maybe I am wrong, but shouldn't the insurance company be fixing the car to the PERFECT condition it was in before it was damaged?
A: sounds like a botched, cheapo job -- that's why you have insurance, so that it covers to repair damages to your car. you should go back to the insurance and demand that your car be fixed properly. no professional paint job ends up looking like you described. end result should be like new. if insurance is difficult, call your state's insurance commission to complain and demand proper service.
Q: Getting car insurance on a new car?
I'm planning on buying a new car in the next month or so because my old one is falling apart. My car insurance that I have now is actually my mom 's and I wanted to get my own policy for the new car. Do I have to buy insurance before I buy the new car.
A: Unlike DW, I am not so sure you would get 30 days automatic insurance cover under your mothers policy - I would definitely check that out.
Once you buy the car you are liable for it as the owner though and should insure it, so the answer to your question is yes. How you get insurance depends on what your moms insurance company say.
Are you keeping the other vehicle? If you are then you are probably going to need to insure this new car in your own name. This could be expensive as you have not been building your own no claims bonus up.
I know Direct Line have offered a discount based on named driver experience (which is what you have) but I think you have to be insured with them to start with.
If your mom is not keeping the original car, why not just change it over on the existing policy?
Incidentally, if you are the main driver, you should not insure in your moms name. Insurers call it fronting, it is fraud and they could innvalidate your policy if you get caught!!
Q: I want to take my new car abroad for 12 months, how do I get cheap car insurance?
I have a new car (well used new car) that I want to take to Germany for 12 months. One insurance company quoted me £8,000! What are the best companies to get a quote from? Either that allow this under the policy, or will charge a reasonable fee for a green card on top of the normal insurance policy.
A: try AA
but most countrys you only have 6 months
i now live in spain & it 3 month befor you have to re register the car
Q: Does car insurance pay sales taxes and destination charge if your brand new car gets damaged?
Does car insurance pay sales taxes and destination charge if your brand new car gets damaged?
If your brand new car gets damage totally. what does the insurance company pay for?
How long after buying brand new car does the insurance consider it not new any more?
A: As soon as you drove that car off the lot -- it became a used vehicle and the value of the vehicle dropped.
If you drove it off the lot - across the street - turned around in a parking lot and drove back across the street to the dealership and said "I changed my mind...I want to return this car". Even though you put less than 1 mile on the car -- it is still considered a used car. The dealer would have to sell the car as a used car.
If you bought the car - drove it 2.5 miles to your house and sold it....you have to sell it as a used car. The title will show "used".
Once ownership of the vehicle transferred from the dealer to you--- the car became "used".
If the car is a total loss - the insurance company will price out used cars of the same year/make/model and similar mileage. They will make adjustments to the value as needed. They can give you something for sales tax but not the destination charge. They don't give you what you paid for the car. They have to price it as a used car....because that's what it is.
However, if you were a smart cookie....you purchased GAP Insurance when you bought the car. The gap insurance will pick up and pay the difference between the loan amount and the value of the car.
Q: If you were given a vehicle as a gift. How can you get a new title with out car insurance?
My friend gave me a car as a gift, and I don't have the money to insure it right now. My friend already sign the car over to me, how can i get a new title in my name with out the car insurance?
A: You can get a new title in your name without insurance. You'll need to have insurance when you register the vehicle. Just owning the vehicle & leaving it parked (off the road if you don't have plates or insurance) does not mean you have to have insurance on it. don't drive it until you have plates and insurance on it.
A site I've recommended in the past would be...

Hope that helps.
Q: can i switch over car insurance to new car/ Montana to Wisconsin?
I had insurance for my old car when i was living in Montana, liability coverage or whatever is the cheapest. I got rid of my old car, moved to Wisconsin and bought a new (used) car. Can i switch my insurance over to the new car i bought? I got my insurance through AAA> Any advice would be helpful>thanks
A: No.
You would need to reapply for new insurance in WI for your new car. Even if you still had the previous car you would have had to get a new Wisconsin policy on it once the MT policy expired at the latest. Simply contact a local agent to see about getting a policy (through AAA if you liked them) or shop around for a good price in your new address.
Q: How to get into a new Car Insurance?
About 1.5 yrs back my wife scratched another car while parking. The claim was settled using insurance. The expense was about $1500. Ever since that the insurance company, AAA, has been increasing our premiums by abt $35 on every renewal. Now I cannot switch or shop with other insurance company since they give quotes much higher than this company. But apart from this one incident we do not have anything else on our record. Also I get discount for Home+Auto insurance. The company increased prices on our Home Insurance too. I am badly stuck with this company now. I would like to buy Auto+home from one company itself. But I really cannot move my Auto Insurance. Please give suggestions.
A: They seem to be the cheapest, so what are you complaining about? I would check into higher deductibles to lower your insurance cost.
Drives me crazy (no pun intended) for someone to put a claim in on their insurance, expect the company to pay (in your case, $1500.) and then switch carriers. They paid your claim, didn't they? Boo, hoo, your rates increased.
Q: What do all of the new car insurance groups mean?
I am looking to but a second hand car but am slightly confused by all of the ´´insurance groups´´, so what does 4a mean - high/low some where in between? Does it mean that group 1 is low and group 10 (for example) is high? What about all of the letters?
A: General rule 1 is a cheap, micro car like a citroen c1 or similar, group 20 is an expensive, fast car like a porsche, not 100% sure what the letters represent but have seen that also...good question :)
Q: how much will be my car insurance for new or used car?
I am planing to buy a car.I am thinking to get a new one but i am afraid of high price for its insurance.I am a new driver, till 25 years old,no driving experience,NJ.I need a professional advice, please.
A: New or old, it won't change much. What makes the difference is how high the liability is (want to do a damage of 50k or 200ks?) and if you are buying full coverage for it.
In other words, the cheaper options would be to be insured only for the damage you might do to others (liability) and not to bother about your own car. (means net getting full coverage)
Since you are inexperienced and need to practice, get an older car so it won't matter if you scrape it against the garage and it won't be an insurance problem.
But you might want to add medical, so if you do hurt yourself you are covered. Having said all this, go get priced up by some one and find the best value.
Here's two sites I often use as they come up with multiple results:
http://get-smart-about-motorcars.moneysavecenter.com/car-insurance.php?id=892
http://autocare.guidearticles.com/insurance-quotes.html?id=892
A word of warning: whoever you buy it with, if you have never heard the insurer, check them out with your State's Insurance Department (search google for it) as there are a few fake insurers out there. They charge you and run with your money!
Good luck,
Q: How much is car insurance in New Jersey? I have been driving for 20 years with a perfect driving record.?
I never had an accident or a ticket. My car is paid off also. I am presently with NJ Manufactures on my spouses insurance. I have no idea what our bill was because he has kept me in the dark about our bills and financial status. That is one of the reasons why we are divorcing. Anyway, an estimate for myself would be greatly appreciated.
A: Get quoted as prices vary a lot so just shop around. I estimate betw $50 monthly and $1200 depending if you are driving a corolla or the latest Bentley model.
Make it 10 times as much if you require comprehensive insurance on a $400.000 lambo .. (make it 25 times as much if you don't garage your car and need theft cover)
Q: Can anyone recommend a cheep and reliable car insurance in New Jersey?
Does premium payment depend on the area you live in. Would my car insurance be cheaper in Hudson or Bergen county? Any pointers ly and advice would be greatly appreciated.
A: insurance depends alot on location as well as driving history, drivers age, and type of car to insure. That is why it is hard to recommend a specific company, as the company that gives me the best rates may give you the worst rates.
the best thing for you to do would be to get an online insurance quote at http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/24-hour-insurance-quote-auto.html
This will compare all companies in your area and find you the company that offers you the best price for insurance.
i hope that helps!
