Q: Automobile insurance sites?
Hey, I've been trying to find a website that gives out free automobile insurance quotes. I found a ton, but they all ask for personal information like telephone numbers and addresses. Are there any sites that will just give you what you're looking for: a fast insurance quote without having to give out all your personal info?

A: So far there isn't any sites that don't ask for personal information. They claim that it will help "lower" the quote if you give it all. Even when you call the companies, they ask for personal information. Allstate even asked for my ssn when i called claiming that it does some sort of bg check.

Q: Does it hurt my credit every time I request a quote?
I want to check different quotes for automobile financing and insurances, if I request quotes from several different places (to shop around) does it hurt my credit each time I do?

A: If you have several inquiries within a short period of time when auto or mortgage shopping FICO counts it as 1 inquiry instead of multiple

Q: 21st century automobile insurance. Any feedback???
Have been a GEICO custmer for over 7 years, but their rates have gone up. 21st has quoted me a good rate. Are they worth it?????

A: I have used Geico and 21st C for the last 20 years (mostly Geico). I switched to 21st C for the same reason, they offered a better rate. They have a very good rating on claims payments (as does Geico). We had an accident on our policy with 21st C and (of course) the rates went up. Geico had slightly lower rates for the same coverage at that time so we switched back. I suggest going with the lower rates and shop again every year or so just to make sure you're getting a decent deal. You can go to Consumers Reports and get a comparative list on claims complaints, etc of all the major insurance companies. Last time I checked, Geico was near the top and 21st C not far below.

A: 19.99.. but wait! if you order now, we will throw in " how to plan your funeral" for free!!! thats right, FREE! a 49.99 value, only reedemable with a coupon and 20 pats on your head while you do jumpin jacks... naked

Q: Does everyone agree that there should be a Bill passed in regards?
of individual privacy rights to individuals, so that whenever they phone a insurance corporation in regards of automobile insurance that individuals should not have to give out their social security number in regards of only an insurance quote over the phone whether or not they are going to purchase insurance from that particular insurance company or not?????????????///

A: There are laws to this effect, at both the state and federal level. They are just incomplete, and many contain loopholes. In fact, federal law prohibits companies from requiring the use of the Social Security number for any purpose other than relating to income taxation or federal benefits. But nothing compels companies to do business with you either. So, if you refuse to voluntarily disclose your SSN, a private company can refuse to do business with you. That's one of the loopholes.

A: You are NOT asking for help. You are posting your homework assignment for us to do. This is called cheating and I won't help you. However, if you post your answers, I'll be happy to check them for you to see if they are correct. I, for one, don't believe you've even tried. BTW: I noticed several attempts to get this done for you by putting less questions in one post. I hope people don't fall for it ... do your own work!

Q: What's your excuse?
Many people who experienced automobile accidents were asked to explain what happened in a few words or less on insurance or accident forms. The following quotes were taken from these forms and were eventually published in the Toronto Sun. Coming home, I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don't have. The other car collided with mine without giving warning of its intentions. I thought my window was down, but found out it was up when I put my hand through it. I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way. A truck backed through my windshield into my wife's face. A pedestrian hit me and went under my car. The guy was all over the road; I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him. I pulled away from the side of the road, glanced at my mother-in-law and headed over the embankment. In my attempt to kill a fly, I drove into a telephone pole. I had been shopping for plants all day and was on my way home. As I reached an intersection, a hedge sprang up obscurring my vision. I did not see the other car. I had been driving my car for forty years when I fell asleep at the wheel and had an accident. I was on my way to the doctors with rear end trouble when my universal joint gave way causing me to have an accident. As I approached the intersection, a stop sign suddenly appeared in place where no stop sign had ever appeared before. I was unable to stop in time to avoid the accident. To avoid hitting the bumper of the car in front, I struck the pedestrian. My car was legally parked as it backed into the other vehicle. An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my vehicle, and vanished. I told the police that I was not injured, but on removing my hat, I found that I had a skull fracture. I was sure the old fellow would never make it to the other side of the roadway when I struck him. The pedestrian had no idea which direction to go, so I ran over him. I saw the slow-moving, sad-faced old gentleman as he bounced off the hood of my car. The indirect cause of this accident was a little guy in a small car with a big mouth. I was thrown from my car as it left the road. I was later found in a ditch by some stray cat. The telephone pole was approaching fast. I was attempting to swerve out of its path when it struck my front. I was unable to stop in time and my car crashed into the other vehicle. The driver and passengers then left immediately for a vacation with injuries.

Q: i need help on a research paper !!!!?
i have this paper due on drivers ed and i have no idea how to get started on this , i am going to copy and paste the instructions for the paper below , if you guys could help in any way possible that would be great :) Your Aunt Crazy has just hit the lottery and has decided to give you money to purchase a car.  She has decided to give you $500.00 a month towards your purchase.  This money needs to be used to purchase a car and pay for insurance (“Your Fault” is not an insurance company).  You now have the opportunity to buy any car that will fit into your budget.  Before you begin, you are asked to trade in any car in your family to help with your finances.  Enjoy the shopping experience!!   Task Your cover will consist of a title.  You may use any title you wish.  This page must also include your name, class period and date.  Be creative and design a cover that is colorful and interesting. Your second page will be the specifics of your new car.  This will include all of the options and the price that were quoted by the dealer.  You may add a picture of this car if you can find one. The third page will be specifics on the vehicle that you traded in, including the price that was suggested by Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds. The fourth page will explain the payment for your new car including the insurance that you will purchase for the car and the monthly breakdown for both payments. The fifth page will be economy information on your car such as mileage in city and open roads.  Also included on this page will be a safety rating for your trade-in vehicle and the new car that you are purchasing.  You must provide two examples of cars that have the safest rating and two that have the poorest ratings.  Give a brief explanation on why two cars you chose have a poor rating.  Also on this page, you are to explain the "Lemon Law" and provide information on this law that protects consumers. The sixth page will be dedicated to scams.  You are to search the resources to find 4 dealer scams and 4 insurance scams that you should be aware of when purchasing a car and insurance. The seventh and final page will consist of a detailed explanation on how to jump start your car.  You can also find this information in the resources provided for you.  Lastly, you must give credit for information that you borrowed from a source.  Always give credit where credit is due!! Resources Remember to use the sites search option if you are unable to find the information that you are looking for. A: Oh this is an easy one. Take the most expensive car your family owns for trade in. Look up the kelly blue book price online. This can be a jumping off point. Then go to somewhere like vehix.cm and look for the kind of car you like in a reasonable price range (like $169 a month) then go to like progressive and get a free rate quote. The hardest part is making the numbers fit, but I guess the point of the paper is to simulate real life.
